Singlewell Primary School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and proactive EYFS Teaching Assistant to support children in our vibrant Early Years setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood development, the ability to build warm, positive relationships with children, staff & parents, and a commitment to helping every child thrive.
In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities, support children’s social and emotional development, and help create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment. Experience in an EYFS setting is desirable but not essential.
Teamwork is central to our approach. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues across the Early Years team, following the guidance and direction of the EYFS Lead to ensure consistency, high standards and a shared vision for children’s learning. You will play an active role in contributing to planning, communicating effectively, and supporting a positive, united team ethos.

Teaching Assistant Key Details- Hours:
Term time only, 31.67 hours per week, 8.30 am until 3:20 am Monday to Friday. - The role would include working during the lunchtime period with an unpaid 30 min lunch break.
- Salary:
Paid on KSA pro-rata. - Experience: Qualifications and experience working in EYFS/ KS1 are desirable but not essential. Staff are required to be adaptable and be able to work in different classes over time. The applicant would need to demonstrate strong
English and Maths skills in order to assistthe teacher in delivering the lessons and to enable the children to reach their full potential.
The successful candidate will be required to set up learning areas, lead intervention groups and support children with learning needs as well as occasionally being responsible for the whole class. They would also need to be flexible and enthusiastic with a positive attitude and be willing to undertake 1-1 pupil supervision.
