SEN Teaching Assistant - Medway / Kent Long-Term & Short-Term Roles Available About the Role
We are looking for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs across primary and secondary schools in Medway and the wider Kent area. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference and supporting children with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with SEN.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering adapted and accessible learning.
- Help to create a safe, nurturing classroom environment.
- Use patience, encouragement, and behaviour strategies to support pupil progress.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and always uphold school policies.
- Experience working with children with SEN (school-based or relevant care experience).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
- A calm, supportive approach when managing behaviour and emotional needs.
- Flexibility to work across different year groups and settings.
- A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
- Competitive pay rates paid weekly.
- Access to both long‑term and short‑term SEN TA roles across Medway and Kent.
