Pediatric Hospitalist Opportunity 24-Hr Call in Beautiful Grass Valley, CA! (21805)

A leading hospital in Grass Valley, California is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist to provide high-quality newborn, nursery, and emergency pediatric support during a short-term call assignment. Step into a supportive environment with an excellent clinical team and 24-hour call coverage.

• Role: Pediatric Hospitalist

• Location: Grass Valley, CA

• Schedule:

  • 24-hour call (7 AM 7 AM)

  • Specific Dates Required: January 1 3

• Setting:

  • Family Birth Center (L&D + Nursery)

  • Emergency Department

  • Inpatient (rare admits)

• Daily rounds on newborns

• Attend high-risk or concerning deliveries

• ED pediatric consultations

• Admit patients from ED to inpatient (rare)

• Perform neonatal resuscitations & applicable procedures

• Assist with pediatric resuscitations (airway management, venous access, etc.)

• No NICU onsite

• ️ C-sections & high-risk deliveries attended as needed

• Delivery Volume:

  • deliveries per month

  • deliveries per year

• EMR: Cerner

• Support Staff: L&D nurses, OB/Gyn, ED physicians, anesthesiologists, hospitalists, tele-intensivists

• Lodging Preferred: Gold Miners Inn or Courtyard Suites

• Reason for Need: Gaps in coverage & expanding locum pool

• Credentialing:

  • Must have privileges at a Joint Commission (or equivalent) hospital 2 of the last 4 years

  • Timeframe:
    Standard

  • No external facility credentialing required

• Board Certified OR Board Eligible (within 5 years) Required

• State Medical License Required

• DEA Required

• ️ Clean Malpractice Highly Preferred

• Must be available for ALL requested dates at submission Required
