As a Recreation Coordinator Assistant II - Summer Camp Counselor, you'll be the heartbeat of The REC, contributing to a wide range of activities and programs that cater to the vibrant energy of our summer camp programs.
Direct and assist RCA I Camp Counselors, bringing your leadership skills to the forefront and engaging campers aged 7-12 in thrilling recreation activities. Join us for monthly field trips that promise fun, adventure, and unforgettable memories!
- Attends to the daily operation of facilities and assists with various recreation programs, leagues, hospitality/concessions and special events.
- Assists with program registrations, including periods of intensive computer processing with custom registration system.
- Assists with program and event set up, tear down and implementation including working both inside and outside in various locations and conditions.
- Provides excellent customer service by responding to customers’ questions and needs.
- Performs general maintenance, concession duties, housekeeping duties in Parks and Recreation Department and/or Grapevine/Colleyville Independent School District facilities.
- Ensures the safety of all spectators and participants in programs and facilities.
- Completes various reports and submits them to the appropriate supervisor.
- Performs related duties as directed when such duties are a logical and appropriate assignment to the position.
- Regular and timely attendance are required for this position.
- Interacts professionally and respectfully with the public, coworkers and others in the course of daily work.
- High school diploma/GED and 18 years of age OR 2 years of full-time equivalent experience as an RCA I.
- Must have 3-6 months experience working with children.
- Must possess or obtain upon hire CPR certification
- All certification trainings are offered through the City of Grapevine.
- Physical ability for job tasks and outdoor work.
- Pass a Federal/National criminal background check.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Availability for times, nights, weekends, and some holidays.
