Base Pay Range: $16.00/hr - $23.00/hr

Position Summary

Our Member Frontline Cashier Associates are the heart of our front end. You play a major role in how our members feel in the club and when they leave. You might be the first, last, and sometimes only associate that our members interact with. That’s why it’s so important to smile, greet, and thank each and every one. We are looking for friendly faces to run registers and support our members through the self‑checkout experience.

The pace can be really fast, especially in the evenings, on weekends, and during a holiday season. There are times when you have to juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping members: scanning items, processing payments, and maintaining a clean area—you get the idea! It’s hard work, but our cashiers find it rewarding, especially since they’re a part of a large team with a common goal: happy, satisfied members.

• Run the cash register and support members through self‑checkout.
• Scan items, process payments, and maintain a clean work area.
• Handle returns, zone merchandise, and identify shrink or damages.
• Provide friendly and prompt customer service.
• Assist members with purchasing decisions and utilize self‑service technology.
• Log and resolve member issues, promote Sam’s Club products.
• Maintain knowledge of membership types, benefits, and upgrades.
• Participate in sales and marketing events and complete required documentation.
• Collaborate with managers and co‑workers to prioritize tasks and improve processes.

• Customer Service experience.
• Retail experience including operating front‑end equipment (e.g., cash register).
• Experience with mobile retail applications.

The hourly wage range is $16.00 to $23.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage. Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
