Overview

Meat Cutter and Wrapper at Sam's Club. This role involves cutting meat, packaging, display, and helping members with a high level of service. The position is part of the meat department team and requires attention to detail and a steady hand to ensure quality products for members.

• Be a Team Member:
  Collaborates with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicates with the team; and is flexible to work in other areas as needed.
• Be an Expert:
  Demonstrates knowledge of floor and backroom operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and the operation, maintenance, and sanitization of equipment; prepares meat products (cutting, grinding, wrapping, trimming) according to standards; cuts boneless meat products; maintains product quality standards.
• Be a Techie:
  Uses digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and engage associates; uses handheld technology for production, training, and product quality decisions with the member in mind; adapts to new tools and encourages usage.
• Be an Owner:
  Maintains operational excellence, keeps work area clean according to policies; ensures quality and date control for meat products; secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise; eliminates waste; assists members with purchasing decisions; ensures packaging, labeling, and storage comply with policies.
• Be a Talent Ambassador:
  Advocates for the department and club by valuing the member experience in the meat area and modeling high-quality service; exhibits energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
• Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; uses the Open Door Policy; and applies these in business processes.
• Completes work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners; identifies priorities and deadlines; communicates progress; suggests improvements; adapts to change and feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $23.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the required minimum wage for the location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in specific circumstances (e.g., schedule, facility, season, or work performed).
