Overview

Responsible for delivering exceptional dining and drinking experiences in the restaurant, bar and golf course. Responds to all guests with a cheerful and helpful attitude with the goal of maximizing and enriching the customer experience. Collaborates with other restaurant staff to foster efficient service. Responsible for selling food and beverage items to golfers and other outdoor venue customers.

Responsibilities
  • Greets customers promptly; presents menu, makes recommendations, and answers questions regarding beverages and food.
  • Takes guest beverage and/or food orders and inputs orders accurately in the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a consistent manner according to drink recipes and in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Retrieves and delivers food and beverage orders in a timely manner.
  • Replenishes beverages and ensures guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.
  • Maintains bar area in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation. Keeps bar stocked at all times.
  • Clears plates at the appropriate time.
  • Makes certain the serving station is well-stocked at all times.
  • Presents the check and responsible for all transactions including receiving payment and accurately counting back change.
  • Responds graciously to guest service issues and reports the situation to restaurant management.
  • Replenishes beverage cart with fresh items and ensures cart is clean and organized.
  • Conducts oneself in a professional manner with the awareness that all actions and communications are within guests’ view.
  • Maintains a clean and organized section, service station and dining room.
  • Perform secondary responsibilities, such as clearing/cleaning tables, to aid other restaurant staff.
  • Complete opening, ongoing, and closing duties as assigned.
  • Performs related duties as directed when such duties are a logical and appropriate assignment to the position.
  • Regular and timely attendance are required for this position.
  • Interacts professionally and respectfully with the public, coworkers and others in the course of daily work.
  • Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
    • Ability to think and communicate clearly in high pressure situations.
    • Ability to move quickly and gracefully throughout the dining room.
    • Demonstrate basic math skills with excellent reading, writing and verbal communication skills.
    • Knowledgeable of the menu, ingredients and cooking techniques.
    • Knowledgeable of drink recipes and pricing.
    • Ability to confidently make food and beverage pairing recommendations.
    • Knowledgeable of pre-check register operation.
    • Knowledgeable of computer operations and ordering procedures.
    • Knowledgeable of basic sanitation.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
    • Ability to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
    • Must be knowledgeable of drink brand selections, garnishes, and prices.
    • Confidently provide food and drink recommendations.
    • Outgoing personality, positive attitude and strong communication skills.
    • Complete understanding of standardized recipes for classic and contemporary cocktails.
    • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
    Education, Experience and Other Requirements

    Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous bartending, serving, and/or customer service experience preferred. Must pass a Federal/National criminal background check and credit check. Must have a valid Texas driver's license with an acceptable driving record as defined by City policy. Must pass a pre-employment basic physical, drug screen, and functional assessment screening (Level
    2).

    While performing the essential functions of this position the employee is rarely exposed to disagreeable environmental factors.

    While performing the essential functions as Beverage Cart Server, there will be routine and frequent exposure to:

    • Dusts and pollen
    • Extreme heat and/or cold
    • Wet or humid conditions

    • Other outdoor hazards not listed above.
