Position SummaryResponsible for managing the overall operations of a Jack in the Box unit. Uses discretion in daily management decisions with accountability for ensuring effective execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC) and Brand Promise. Develops team to provide excellent internal service, external service, and build restaurant sales and profit while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Key Duties / Responsibilities- Internal Service: Recruits, selects, trains, develops, and evaluates restaurant employees; monitors staffing levels; develops internal candidates for management and Team Leader positions; maintains an employee‑friendly environment; motivates and recognizes employees; complies with labor laws.
- External Service: Manages daily activities to achieve operational excellence; delivers exceptional guest experience; maintains brand image; handles guest concerns promptly.
- Sales & Profits: Uses management information tools to analyze performance; implements improvement plans; increases sales and profitability; monitors costs and budget adherence.
- Fostering the Culture:
Demonstrates passion, integrity, and strong communication skills; remains calm under pressure. - Training / Coaching / Development:
Motivates employees, provides coaching, and fosters growth. - Guest Focus:
Passionate about high‑quality guest experience; excels in fast‑paced environments. - Food Quality / Safety:
Awareness and dedication to food safety and cleanliness. - Business Management:
Adjusts to multiple demands; makes high‑quality decisions; delegates effectively. - Performs related duties as required.
Education: High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum 1+ years as Associate Manager or 2 years as First Assistant Manager; 3+ years managing a service concept with full P&L responsibility.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Minimum 18 years old; must complete Restaurant Manager training;
Serv Safe certified; effective communication; analytical skills; strong organization; valid driver’s license.
Ability to stand and walk 85–95% of shift; lift 10–65 lbs; move freely; operate kitchen equipment; use computer keyboard.
