Overview
Responsible for the preparation, audit and pricing transaction files required to create customer invoices. Additional responsibilities include fielding and resolving customer billing inquiries/issues. The billing/customer service representative will also provide 1st class customer service to all internal and external customers and stakeholders by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs with a service mentality. Close collaboration between the Customer Service Team is vital.
- Ability to perform routine duties independently; prioritize tasks to meet expectations; adhere to established policies and procedures.
- Process daily transactional files from Pilot Thomas Logistics (PTL) partner Fleet Card Processing companies.
- Audit and correct errors in transactional batches & files.
- Execute daily updates to Cardlock retail street pricing.
- Run & distribute Customer Invoices by billing cycle.
- Assist the Customer Service Team by fielding inbound and outbound customer phone calls and emails.
- Responsible for addressing and resolving customer service problems, questions, concerns.
- Create & order fleet fueling cards and assist with customer account management.
- Special projects as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Billing experience strongly preferred but not required.
- Experience in similar customer service, call center and or inside sales preferred.
- Must be mature and comfortable interacting with customers and resolving concerns.
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Communicate effectively in a business environment; excellent interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills are a must. A service attitude and disposition is also vital.
- Must be flexible and solutions-oriented with the ability to work under pressure.
- Required to have/carry a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card when on maritime facilities and vessels. Otherwise, an escort with a valid TWIC card is required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- May be required to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to ten (10) pounds.
- May be required to sit and review information on a computer screen for long periods of time.
- May require repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard.
