Grubbs Family of Dealerships is looking for self-motivated and reliable individuals as the Automotive Staff/General Accountant for our dealerships. The Staff Accountant will ensure accuracy in their posting and review other postings to ensure they are in line with the company’s policies and procedures. This position is responsible for reconciling, reporting, and audit of certain schedules. The Staff Accountant must be proficient in principles and terminology of automotive/dealership accounting.
It is essential to understand the significance of deadlines and the ability to apply the appropriate level of urgency to all tasks.

- Review, code and post daily bank activity
- Review system errors to ensure proper posting
- Review, code corrections and post to schedules
- Review Floorplan accuracy to ensure all models are floored or paid off correctly
- Review, reconcile and purify lender reserve payments
- Reconcile retail delivery reports monthly
- Retrieve and post all Manufacturer Payments to related schedules
- Assist in special projects as necessary individually or within a team
- Support general office operations with light administrative tasks
Prerequisites:
- High School Diploma;
College Degree a plus. - Computer skill levels (Internet and Microsoft Office) and Automotive DMS experience PLUS, Tekion preferred.
- Competence to work in a high influx call/email environment and transition from one task to another effectively and concisely.
- Ability to work well both individually and as part of a team.
- Flexible schedule to work full-time with varying extended hours during accounting cutoff periods.
- Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
