Ranch Hand

We are a 300 acre ranch located in Tooele Valley, Utah. We have cattle, dairy, sheep, pig & poultry operations – all heritage breed. And we would like to add a greenhouse/garden operation.

Our ideal ranch hand would love animals; love work of the physically demanding variety; love being outside – rain or shine / freezing or scorching; strive for cleanliness & organization; and have a passion for clean food, regenerative agriculture, and growing healthy animals, humans & ecosystems.

Typical daily tasks: feeding, watering & bedding animals; irrigation; moving electric fencing; milking & bottling milk; cleaning milk bottles & equipment; cheese making; collecting & packaging eggs; grinding & mixing feed.

Requirements: desire to work hard – really hard – in service of beautiful animals & clean food; a joy‑full attitude – pleasant to be around; ability to lift & carry 5 gallon buckets full of water & throw hay; manual dexterity for handling octopus‑like milk machine & wresting pliers/wire for fencing repair; meticulousness in food preparation & packaging; tough as nails;

kind as a momma; committed to excellence in everything.

Bonus skills: experience with tractors & trailers; fence construction; and horsemanship.

Hours:

60+/week. We are a sun-up to sun-down operation.

Compensation: $30k/year, full benefits, housing inc. utilities, no house pets, work animals considered.
