I.Job Summary
Safely operate a heavy‑duty truck to perform assigned duties on transfer routes.
II.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate vehicle in accordance with OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal requirements and company fleet expectations; maintain a clean and safe vehicle.
- Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using standard DVIR; note all issues on the DVIR form for corrective review/repair.
- Immediately report any unsafe situations or service calls to the Operations Manager or Dispatch before attempting the service.
- Participate in and cooperate with all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required by the Operations Manager.
- Work closely with Operations Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify problems or unsafe accounts.
- Perform all duties as scheduled by the Operations Manager or Dispatch, assisting other company drivers as directed.
- Notify the Operations Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
- Notify Dispatch or the Operations Manager of issues as prescribed by the Service Machine protocol—including blocked containers, potential missed pick‑ups, or problems that arise on the route.
- Communicate customer requests or issues to Dispatch or the Operations Manager.
- Fully dump all containers and leave the customer’s location clean and free of debris.
- Complete and submit customer tickets when excess yardage must be removed.
- Position containers on the customer’s property so that lids are properly replaced, containers are set upright, and containers do not block driveway entrances or traffic.
- Follow route assignments throughout the day and complete all documentation when checking in at the end of the route.
This job has no supervisory duties.

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
- Commercial Driver’s License Category B (CDL).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Successfully complete pre‑employment DOT drug screen, medical, and background check, including prior employment verification and motor vehicle record review.
- Acceptable driving record required.
