We're seeking a PACU RN to join our team of compassionate caregivers. Our 25‑bed critical access hospital allows our caregivers to provide excellent patient care in an environment that supports professional growth and development.

Job SummaryAs a PACU RN, you will prepare patients for surgery, review medical histories, conduct physical assessments, and ensure all required tests and procedures are completed. You will educate patients about the surgical process, address concerns, and provide emotional support.
You will monitor vital signs, manage pain, administer medications, provide wound care, assist with mobility, and ensure proper nutrition and hydration. You will also educate on postoperative care, monitor for complications, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure a smooth recovery. Required certification: ACLS. Preferred: PALS and NRP. Positions available: full‑time and part‑time.
Schedule:
8‑hour days, Monday‑Friday (0615‑1445).
Reports to:
Director of Surgical Services.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current, temporary, or compact license to practice nursing in New Mexico.
- Current CPR card or enrollment in the next available class.
- Demonstrated core competencies: assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, and leadership.
- Participation in continuing education programs to maintain licensure.
- Knowledge of current trends and procedures in nursing practice.
- Pass pre‑employment criminal background check, reference checks, and post‑offer drug screen.
- Employment eligibility verified by the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) and the Government Services Administration (GSA).
- Annual tuberculin screening.
- Hospital‑required vaccinations.
- Hospital‑required competencies.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
