Cibola General Hospital is one hour from Albuquerque and close to Santa Fe. Grants, NM offers low property taxes and inexpensive housing costs.
Cibola General Hospital provides services in general surgery, 24‑hour emergency care, intensive care, internal medicine, obstetrics, pathology, pediatric dentistry, podiatry, primary care and radiology with X‑ray, CT, MRI. We have three operating rooms, clinics, lab services, pharmacy, cardiopulmonary and rehab.
Job SummarySeeking a licensed therapist to join our recently implemented behavioral health team, in one of the following licensure types:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
This person will provide therapy services for patients, families, and support systems as they relate to mental health care needs.
Provide individuals, families, and groups with psychosocial support needed to cope with chronic, acute, or terminal illnesses. Services include advising family caregivers, providing patient education and counseling, and making referrals for other services. May also provide care and case management or interventions designed to promote health, prevent disease, and address barriers to access to healthcare.
Primary Responsibilities- Perform biopsychosocial assessments and provide counseling services.
- Collaborate with other professionals to assess client needs or treatment plans.
- Advocate for clients or patients to resolve crises.
- Intervene in crisis situations to assist clients.
- Refer patients, clients, or families to community resources to assist in recovery from mental or physical illness and provide access to services such as financial assistance, legal aid, housing, job placement or education.
- Refer clients to community or social service programs.
- Licensure in the state of New Mexico is required, including a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Mental Health Counseling.
- State registration is required.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Social Work, case management, or counseling.
- Hospital experience is preferred, but not required.
- Must pass a pre‑employment criminal background check, reference checks, and a post‑offer drug screen.
- Must be employment eligible as verified by the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) and the Government Services Administration (GSA).
- Tuberculin screening is required annually.
- Hospital required vaccinations.
- Must be able to meet the physical conditions of the position.
