The Speech Therapist evaluates and treats residents and patients with temporary or long‑term speech, hearing, swallowing and cognitive disabilities in compliance with state and federal guidelines.You will:
- Plan and administer medically prescribed speech therapy treatment for patients with speech, language, and swallowing problems.
- Evaluate speech and language skills as related to educational, medical, social, and psychological factors.
- Review referral, physician’s orders, patient’s condition, and medical records to determine speech therapy treatment indicated. Accept physician orders regarding speech therapy services.
- Perform initial patient evaluation before initiating therapy. Perform and document OASIS assessments at appropriate time points.
- Plan and prepare written treatment plans based on evaluation of patient data in conjunction with the physician, patient, and caregiver(s).
- Plan direct or conduct rehabilitative treatment plans to restore communicative efficiency of individuals with communication problems of organic and non‑organic etiology.
- Other duties as requested.

- Education and/or Experience – Graduate of an accredited school of speech pathology and language disorders.
- Licensed as a Speech‑Language Pathologist by the Washington State Board of Speech‑Language Pathology and Audiology.
