- Able to work with students grades K-5.
- Ability to take initiative and be self‑directed.
- Assist teacher as needed; supervision and attendance duties as needed.
- Ability to discipline with dignity.
- Must qualify or be able to meet standard for highly qualified para‑professional.
- Removes barriers to success for homeless and at‑risk students.
- Serves as the special advocate for the family across all aspects of education and is the connection between the family and school services.
