OverviewOur Police Department is seeking a dynamic customer service individual to join the records division. This position provides administrative and cler(res= clerical) support to the Police Department and acts as a non‑emergency call‑taking point for citizens.
This position is responsible for non‑emergency police support services, including the administration of records and customer service. Duties include public counter and telephone customer service, data entry, review and maintenance of records, electronic routing and filing of records and reports, records checks, processing warrants and sealed records, and other general office support activities.

The Records Division is open during the following hours:
- Monday to Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Written testing – approximately 2 hours, scheduled for January 27, 2026
- Observation of the position – 2 hour minimum, scheduled individually after written test and before interview (January 29‑30, February 2‑3, 2026)
- Interview – tentatively scheduled for February 10, 2026
- Associate Degree: 2.5 %
- Bachelor’s Degree: 5.0 %
Note:
Degree incentives are not cumulative and are subject to verification.
A high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of general office experience. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job.
Licensing Requirements- Law Enforcement Data System Certificate within thirty days of appointment
- Typing Certificate – 40 words per minute with a minimum 95 % accuracy (must be attached to application)
