Position OverviewAn Emergency Room (ER) Nurse provides critical, high-quality care to patients in emergency and trauma situations. They assess, triage, and treat patients with acute illnesses or injuries, collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams to stabilize patients. ER Nurses must think quickly, prioritize care effectively, and remain calm under pressure in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities include administering medications, performing procedures, monitoring vital signs, and educating patients and families.
Strong communication, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work in high‑stress situations are essential for success in this role.

- Work Schedule:
Days
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing
- Current Illinois Nursing License
- Current Basic Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross BLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross ACLS)
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training course (CPI) within 1 month of hire date
- Preferred:
Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) or International Trauma Life Support Certification (ITLS) - Preferred:
Emergency Communication Registered Nurse (ECRN)
- Previous experience in clinical unit preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health care team and excellent communication skills required.

- $32.00 - $48.00 per hour
