Overview
Join Our Growing Team At Jarvie Plant We are looking for an experienced Welfare Fitter to join our dedicated JP Accommodation team at our Grangemouth Depot. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in preparing, maintaining, and refurbishing welfare accommodation units that are safe, clean, and ready for hire. While primarily focused on fitting and refurbishment, you will occasionally carry out electrical tasks to ensure our units meet customer and safety standards.
MainResponsibilities
- Fit out, refurbish, and repair welfare accommodation units to meet detailed drawings and customer requirements.
- Carry out inspections, maintenance, and repairs on units, including occasional electrical work such as installing and testing electrical components.
- Diagnose faults and respond promptly to breakdowns both on-site and at the depot.
- Prepare units for hire, including cleaning, painting, and quality checks to ensure safety and functionality.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting welfare units as needed.
- Maintain accurate job documentation, including job sheets, inspection records, and repair logs.
- Monitor stock levels and prepare materials required for ongoing maintenance and installation work.
- Adhere strictly to Health & Safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly with supervisors and customers.
- Proven experience working with welfare accommodation units, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment required for welfare unit fitting.
- Electrical competence is advantageous; relevant electrical qualifications will be a strong benefit.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work efficiently within set time frames while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- A valid CSCS card is desirable but not essential.
N.B.:
Own basic hand tools required. Specialist tools, PPE, and branded workwear will be provided by the company.
