Engineering Operative

Hours: Monday-Friday, 07:30-17:30 (flexibility required for additional hours)

Pay:

• £15.50/hr (accrued holidays) or
• £17.37/hr (advanced holidays)

Contract: 10 weeks temp via ourselves Permanent transfer to client

We are recruiting an Engineering Operative to support our client, working full time Monday to Friday. The role offers a wide range of mechanical and workshop tasks, involving hydraulic attachments, general engineering duties, and preparation of equipment for hire or sale.

After a 10 week temp period through ourselves, the successful candidate will transfer permanently to our client.

• Carry out basic engineering and mechanical tasks
• Metalworking: drilling, lathe work, grinding, band saw operation
• Use of torque equipment
• Disassembly and reassembly of hydraulic attachments
• Working with hydraulic components
• Pressure washing and cleaning of equipment
• Basic painting and finishing
• Basic welding tasks
• Forklift driving (training/experience beneficial)
• Preparing attachments for hire and sale
• Completing service checklists and documentation
• Following instructions, drawings, and manuals accurately
• Maintaining attention to detail throughout all tasks

• Practical engineering or mechanical experience
• Ability to use workshop tools and machinery safely
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Flexibility to work additional hours when required
• Ability to follow technical instructions, manuals, and drawings
• Basic welding and forklift experience desirable
