Overview

Retail Merchandise Associate at The TJX Companies, Inc. Home Goods location. TJX is a Fortune 100 off-price retailer with opportunities across its global offices, distribution centers, and stores.

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with all customers and upholding customer experience principles.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment; adhere to operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards.
• Cross-train to support multiple areas of the store as needed.
• Role models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring purchases/returns and count change back to customers per established procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain merchandising philosophy and follow established procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures.
• Assist in store recovery and maintain store cleanliness and organization.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support shrink reduction goals and safety programs; participate in safety awareness.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Possesses excellent customer service skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of multi-tasking and adapting to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Works effectively with peers and supervisors.
• Retail customer experience preferred.
