Key Responsibilities- Develop, validate, and implement CMM inspection programs from CAD models and blueprints.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications to define measurement strategies.
- Operate CMM equipment to perform accurate dimensional inspections of manufactured parts.
- Analyze measurement data, identify non-conformances, and generate comprehensive inspection reports.
- Perform routine CMM maintenance, calibration checks, and troubleshoot programming or hardware issues.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve measurement challenges and improve part quality.
- Optimize CMM programming processes for efficiency, repeatability, and accuracy.
- Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
- Strong understanding and application of GD&T principles.
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D models.
- Hands‑on experience operating and troubleshooting CMM equipment.
- Knowledge of metrology principles and quality inspection standards.
- Experience with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners, optical comparators)
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, CATIA, Creo) for model‑based programming and analysis
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis tools
- Knowledge of calibration principles and routine metrology equipment maintenance
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949)
