Tooling Engineer - Grandville Area

Salary Range: $73,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

• Design, develop, and optimize new and existing tooling solutions for manufacturing processes.
• Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of production tooling to ensure operational efficiency.
• Oversee the fabrication, assembly, and testing of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
• Analyze tooling performance data to identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production, design, and quality teams to integrate tooling and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Manage tooling inventory, spare parts, and procurement processes.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives for tooling design, materials, and processes.

• Expertise in mold/die design, fabrication, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD, CATIA).
• Strong knowledge of tooling materials, heat treatment, and surface finishes.
• Experience in precision machining techniques such as CNC, EDM, and grinding.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis for tooling failures and implement corrective actions.

• Proficiency with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software for tool optimization.
• Experience with additive manufacturing technologies for tooling applications.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with robotics and automation integration for tooling systems.
