Responsible for development and implementation of compliance programs, policies, procedures and reporting. Utilizes established internal controls and auditing systems to identify, detect, and correct noncompliance issues. Also responsible for timely and accurate monthly reporting of Quality Control audit results to Management.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Weekly review of pipeline management
  • Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Adverse Action Notices – Manage, prepare and deliver adverse action notices to borrowers based on LO or Underwriter credit decisions and action date and utilize loan officer’s electronic signatures to sign denials.
  • Prepare and save Dead File packages for all files that are denied, withdrawn or closed for incompleteness
  • SAFE Act Administration – Registration, termination and annual renewal of MLOs for HML and anyone within SPB that requires an NMLS #.
  • Ensure all MLOs and Bank employees sign the SAFE Act acknowledgement forms annually and are provided with SAFE Act training as required by the banks policy and procedures through BAI training.
  • Quality Control – Clear and respond to all exceptions from Regulatory Solutions that are received and prepare monthly final summary for Operations manager.
  • Pre-Funding QC Reviews
    - Review a sampling of loans that were selected for QC review and communicate any findings to loan officer, processor, underwriter and closer to clear before loan is closed.
  • Flood Reporting – Monitor emails from flood insurer notifying the bank of any changes on zoning. Also, notify investors / borrowers of any changes that may result in negative impact of flood zone changes.
  • Participate in webinars and seminars in order to keep up to date on changes in state and federal law changes.

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Three to five years of related experience in the mortgage lending industry.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; have a high proficiency Loan Origination software.
