Fleet and Equipment Technician

This posting is for 1 temporary full-time position up to 8 months (April 15 to November 30).

We are a seasonal reclamation and archeological services company that operates a fleet of pickup trucks, OHVs, and trailers in remote and off-highway environments. Our vehicles experience rugged conditions and extended use, requiring consistent inspections, maintenance, and repairs. We are looking for a hands-on technician to help keep our fleet running smoothly throughout the season.

• Inspect, maintain and repair OHVs (side-by-sides, argos, ATVs, etc.) and trailers (cargo, camper, flatbed)
• Track, document and report vehicle maintenance needs.
• Clean and prepare vehicles for redeployment in tight turnaround windows.
• Inspect maintain and repair small engine equipment (pumps, landscaping/farm equipment, generators)
• Assist supervisor with maintaining inventory of shop tools, parts and supplies.

• Experience with OHV, trailer and small engine equipment maintenance preferred.
• Ability to work in a seasonal environment with fluctuating workloads.
• Strong attention to detail in inspecting and documenting vehicle conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Comfortable working outdoors.

• Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s licence and submission of a 5-year Driver’s Abstract.
• Ability to perform physical labour as part of the job duties and stand/walk for extended periods of time
• Must be comfortable with occasional travel to remote locations for field repairs or deliveries, including the possibility of overnight stays
