Job Description:Operations and QA/QC Engineer
Position Overview
The Operations and QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring smooth operational performance while maintaining strict quality assurance and quality control standards across all engineering, fabrication, and installation activities. This role bridges operations and quality functions by optimizing workflows, resolving technical issues, enforcing compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Operations ManagementOperate machineries such as Laser Cutting, Bending, Tooling engraving for project work.
Develop and improve SOPs, workflows, and operational processes to enhance productivity.
Monitor operational KPIs and prepare performance reports for management.
Troubleshoot operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
Any other duties assigned by Management in relation to the operations of the business.
Quality Assurance (QA)Assist UK QAQC Manager to develop, implement, and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
Assist UK QAQC Manager to review and approve quality procedures, inspection test plans (ITPs), method statements, and related documentation.
Assist UK QAQC Manager to conduct internal quality audits and ensure compliance with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Developing and implementing industry product & system certifications (with the UK HQ) in accordance with relevant standards (e.g., ATEX, SIL2).
Ensure supplier and subcontractor quality meets company standards.
Quality Control (QC)Perform inspections, tests, and verifications for incoming materials, in‑process work, and completed products.
Identify and investigate with suppliers the root causes of quality issues, non‑conformities, and customer warranty claims/complaints.
Maintain calibration and accuracy of measurement tools and testing equipment.
Prepare QC records including inspection reports, NCRs, test certificates, and QA/QC documentation.
Work closely with clients, consultants, or third‑party inspectors to fulfill QA/QC requirements.
Support factory acceptance tests (FAT), site inspections, and commissioning activities locally and overseas.
Compliance & SafetyEnsure all operations and QA/QC activities comply with regulatory and industry standards.
Promote a safe working culture by supporting HSE initiatives.
Participate in risk assessments and implement mitigation controls.
Reporting StructureTypically reports to: UK Quality Manager (Function wise)
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline (Candidates without experience are welcome to apply).
Diploma in similar disciplines with 3-5 years’ related work experience is welcome to apply.
Proven experience in operations, manufacturing, production, or QA/QC engineering preferred.
Familiarity with quality & industry standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SOLAS, ATEX, SIL2 preferred.
Good understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and analytical skills.
Additional Pre‑requisitesAble to travel overseas in short notice.
Good command of Mandarin language (spoken & written). We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin‑speaking clients.
Class 3 License (good to have but not mandatory)
Forklift License (good to have but not mandatory)
Laser N3 License (good to have but not mandatory)
