McMan Youth, Family and Community Services Association, Disability Services Program is actively seeking an experienced and dynamic Program Manager to lead and oversee critical operational and service delivery components of our Disability Services Programs in Grande Prairie. This role is essential in supporting individuals, families, and their networks while fostering a positive impact within the community.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Director of Services, the Program Manager leads a team of supervisors, direct service staff, administrative staff, and students/volunteers in our Grande Prairie programs. They contribute to the success of the organization by providing a full range of expert knowledge and skills to the Disability Services Programs.

This role will ensure that the programs fully meet the needs of individuals, their families, support network and program funder, while maintaining McMan’s values, policies, accreditation standards and fiscal integrity.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Fosters and encourages a culture that aligns with organizational values.
  • Provides performance, leadership, coaching and mentoring to employees and supervisors through best practices.
  • Oversee case management and the preparation and authorization of support and/or health & safety plans.
  • Debrief and follow up on critical incidents and/or crisis situations with supervisors, as required, to provide support, ensure procedures are followed and minimize future incidents.
  • Oversee program finances, ensuring all financial documentation and management comply with McMan policy and contractual requirements.
  • Participate in strategic discussions at the program and management levels, stay informed on industry trends and make beneficial recommendations.
  • Support the preparation of grant proposals, funding applications, budget projections, and program planning.
  • Manage records and information and prepare accurate and timely reports.
What you bring:
  • A post‑secondary degree/diploma with a background in the Human Services Field and three years of progressive supervisory/management experience in the Human Services field, preferably in the Disability Services sector.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Indigenous and diverse populations, including an understanding of cultural differences and practices, and a willingness to engage in and support cultural activities.
  • Strong leadership, effective communication and problem‑solving skills. Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven experience in developing, implementing, and supervising innovative client‑centered residential or community‑based programs.
  • Experience with the development of service plans, including a clear understanding of restrictive procedures.
  • Good understanding of health and wellness needs of persons with developmental disabilities, including unique support needs due to diagnoses such as Autism, FASD, drug and alcohol addictions, intergenerational trauma and other mental health concerns.
  • A valid Class 5 driver’s license, a reliable personal vehicle, and comfortable driving to multiple locations are essential for this role.
  • Regular travel to various sites within the area and to Edmonton (approximately 1‑2 times per month) for meetings and training is required.
  • A strong commitment to teamwork and building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
