Unidine is hiring immediately for a part time WAITER/WAITRESS position.

GLM-Pillars of Grand Rapids, 2060 Southwest 8th Street, Grand Rapids, MN 55744.

Schedule:

Part time; days and hours may vary, including rotating weekends. Further details upon interview. Pay Range: $17.00 per hour to $19.00 per hour.

• Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room; take food and beverages in an efficient manner, following established steps of service.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards. Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests.
• Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients. Advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested; accommodate reasonable requests and notes preferences. As needed, demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens.
• Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure that orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
• Exhibit exceptional communication skills and the ability to get along well with others. Remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff.
• Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
• Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information that is shared.
• Promptly address complaints or issues; relay relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor.
• Ensure the dining room is properly set up prior to and after the service period; keep area clean and neat while meeting established sanitation standards.
• Operate a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines.
• Work with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• One year of food service and/or serving experience preferred.
