At Beacon Recycling, we pride ourselves in our ability to manage scrap for our clients in West Michigan. Beacon works with organizations to help them easily manage their scrap for efficiency of workflow and optimum returns. Our programs are customized for each customer to make sorting simple and transactions accurate and transparent.
Our Class A Truck Drivers act as our frontline customer service team by transporting scrap metal throughout West Michigan. This is done primarily using roll offs and luggers. Experience with this type of equipment is a plus but we will train the right person. Our trucks have manual and automatic transmissions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Operate Beacon CDLA hooklift, roll off and lugger trucks in a safe and efficient manner to haul scrap metal from customer sites to our yards
- Support a positive relationship with our customers and deliver feedback to manager as needed
- Work to improve efficiencies and productivity
- Maintain a safe and clean truck
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year experience driving a Class A truck
- Manual and Automatic Transmission
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Current DOT medical card or ability to acquire one required
- Previous scrap metal experience is a plus
- Doubles endorsement is a plus
- Heavy Haul Experience is a plus
Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor environment. Must be able to work in all weather conditions
