Class A CDL Truck Driver -- Local -- 2nd Shift
Grand Traverse Container, Grand Rapids, MI
Salary: $23 - $25 per hour
Responsibilities- Perform required inspections of truck, trailer, equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
- Drive truck into position to load or unload.
- Verify load against shipping papers.
- Drive truck to destination.
- Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
- Prepare receipts for load pickup.
- Collect payment for goods delivered and for delivery charges when directed.
- Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations.
- Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
