Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and perform general maintenance and repair of structural and building fabric, electrical (high and low voltage, single phase, and three phase), plumbing (leaks, clogs, faucets, toilets, drains).
  • Perform first‑level quality checks on HVAC, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Complete and document work orders and preventive maintenance tasks using the Redzone Reliability Module.
  • Advise the Maintenance Manager of identified issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with minor construction projects and facility upgrades.
  • Conduct audits related to preventative maintenance.
  • Monitor and respond to building safety and security concerns.
  • Coordinate and oversee on‑site vendors and contractors.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, repairs, and issues.
  • Organize storage of materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Manage and order maintenance inventory and supplies.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, OSHA standards, MIOSHA regulations, and local building codes.
Requirements Education / Certificates / Licenses / Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • 3‑5 years of hands‑on facility maintenance experience required.
  • EPA certification, HVAC/R experience preferred.
  • Welding experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Ability to troubleshoot high, low, and control voltage systems.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Proficiency using an iPad and email systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective time management and task prioritization.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing sanitary design preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and MIOSHA regulations preferred.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and respond to emergencies as needed.
