Established in 1911, KCRC handles over 4,100 lane miles of roads and 172 bridges and provides routine maintenance services, including snow and ice removal, for state trunklines under contract with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanic located at our Byron Center, Michigan location. The Mechanic will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment.
Schedule is days for the summer and second for the winter - includes $2.25 premium.
Tasks include troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing regularly scheduled maintenance, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. The role requires a commitment to excellence and dedication to maintaining the highest standards of road and bridge safety.
High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications or training in mechanical or automotive repair preferred.
