Telecommunications Tower Climber - Paid Training Provided

We are currently hiring Telecommunications Tower Climbers to join our team in the Midwest region. Responsibilities
  • Climbing and Descending Towers: Safely ascend and descend cell towers utilizing proper safety equipment and techniques. Participate in ongoing safety training to stay current with best practices.
  • Equipment Installation: Assist with the installation, repair, or replacement of telecommunications equipment and antennas on cell towers.
  • Cable Routing: Run and route cables, wires, and other components essential for the operation of telecommunications equipment.
  • Tower Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of cell towers to verify they are in proper working condition and address maintenance issues as they arise.
  • Safety Compliance: Rigorously follow safety protocols and guidelines when working at heights and handling equipment.
  • Equipment Testing: Assist in testing and troubleshooting telecommunications equipment to ensure it operates correctly.
  • Documentation: Accurately document all work performed, equipment used, and any issues encountered during tower climbs.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with fellow climbers and telecommunications professionals to meet project goals.
  • Training: Engage in training programs to acquire new skills and certifications related to tower climbing and telecommunications.
  • Direction: Follow all instructions from the foreman and construction manager, and work closely with other team members to complete construction projects efficiently.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with applicable regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Qualifications
  • Previous Construction

    Experience:

    Requires experience in construction, including knowledge of methods, tools, equipment, and basic blueprint reading and construction plans.
  • Physical Strength and Stamina: This role demands strong physical endurance and stamina to perform duties effectively.
  • Working in Various Weather

    Conditions:

    Must be comfortable working in inclement weather, including extreme temperatures, rain, wind, and more.
  • Willingness to Learn: A strong desire to learn, adapt, and develop new skills is key to success in this position.
  • Safety Awareness: A demonstrated commitment to safety procedures and the ability to follow strict safety guidelines are essential.
  • Reliability: Punctuality and dependability are critical, as cell tower maintenance and installation require strict adherence to deadlines.
  • Communication

    Effective communication with team members and supervisors is necessary to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Physical Fitness: Candidates must be in excellent physical condition and able to work comfortably at significant heights.

  • Technical Aptitude: A basic understanding of construction, technical knowledge, or an interest in telecommunications and equipment is an advantage.
