Overview
Lead Residential HVAC Installer role at Vander Hyde Services. Join a team with 35+ years serving West Michigan in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and low-voltage. We value integrity, professionalism, and doing the right thing every time. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Grand Rapids, MI.
What You'll Do- Lead and perform installation of residential HVAC systems according to code and company standards
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and adjust systems for efficient operation
- Ensure job sites and vehicles are clean, safe, and organized
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members
- Complete job documentation, service logs, and reports accurately
- Uphold Vander Hyde's commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Stay current with industry tools, technology, and best practices
- 2+ years of experience in residential HVAC installation
- EPA Type II or Universal Certification
- Ability to handle system start-up and adjustments independently
- Valid driver's license with insurable record
- Own basic hand tools
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in varied jobsite conditions
- Competitive pay: $25.00–$40.00/hour, based on experience, plus bonus opportunities
- Sign-on bonus up to $4,000
