DK Security is Michigan’s fastest growing security company. Established in 1995, we began as an investigations firm and quickly expanded to provide uniform security, event staff security, loss prevention services, and more. SCOPE: Event Staff Security Officers utilize their customer service skills to provide crowd control services for events such as concerts, sporting events, trade shows, and conferences. Officers ensure the safety of patrons, employees, and visitors at large and small scale events.

• Evenings/Weekends
• Limited Day shifts
• Scheduled for a minimum 4‑6 events per month

• Rate of Pay: $18.00/hour

Downtown and Metro Grand Rapids, MI Event Venues

• Ensure safety and wellbeing of patrons, guests, and performers.
• Provide hospitality security with all clients and guests.
• Perform access control duties.
• Follow venue‑specific guidelines.
• Conduct foot patrols.

• Reliability:
  Report for your shift on time, presentable, and in the prescribed uniform.
• Friendly personality:
  Balance outstanding customer service with client policy enforcement.
• Follow company and client policies:
  Read and follow written guidelines and procedures.
• Use of de‑escalation techniques:
  Defuse situations through effective communication tactics.

• Must be at least 18 years old or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must not have felony convictions and must pass a criminal background check.
• Must be available to work a minimum of 4+ events per month.
• Must have excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Physical requirements:
  
  stand or walk 4–8 hour shifts, respond to emergencies, work outdoors during operational hours, hear conversations in noisy environments, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
