Security Professional - Armed Financial Site - Part Time — Grand Rapids, MI. Part-time security position at Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company. The role involves serving and safeguarding clients across industries such as financial institutions, with flexibility to view and pick up shifts via our Claim a Shift platform.

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the financial institution's premises and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and any security-related observations as required by site procedures.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff, providing assistance as needed in accordance with Allied Universal policies.
• Remain alert to any unusual activity or potential threats within the location and report findings promptly to appropriate personnel.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

• Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
