Industrial Account Manager – Grand Rapids, MI

The Industrial Account Manager will manage a defined territory based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, supporting major furniture and office manufacturing OEM customers. This role requires a driven, results-oriented professional with OEM account management experience and the ability to grow revenue while effectively managing complex customer relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties are representative of the role; additional responsibilities may be assigned as business needs evolve.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive account profiles for each customer. Profiles should include key principals, department leaders, influencers, and decision-makers involved in product specification, placement, and purchasing.
  • Create and maintain standardized account templates capturing customer market/channel segments, go-to-market strategies, financial positioning, and logistical requirements necessary to support the account.
  • Establish and manage sales goals for each account, including revenue and gross profit targets.
  • Continuously assess current product performance with a focus on forecasting, sales growth, and gross profit optimization.
  • Maintain an up-to-date list of key products requiring development and clearly define investment needs to achieve acceptable return on investment (ROI).
  • Represent the company with professionalism and integrity, providing effective leadership at the account level while upholding company policies and ethical business standards.
  • Maintain a regular schedule of customer visits to support new product introductions, update forecasts, review current and future product opportunities, and gather relevant market intelligence and industry trends.
  • Foster strong, collaborative partnerships with customers to meet both Häfele America’s objectives and customer expectations related to product positioning and market penetration
