JOB SUMMARY:The General Manager is responsible for owning the overall performance of a single NOXX retail location by delivering a world-class customer experience, leading high-performing teams, and ensuring operational excellence. This role acts as the business owner of the store, accountable for daily execution, team development, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the General Manager leads store leadership and staff to consistently execute NOXX standards. While this role may support new store openings, the primary focus is the ongoing success, stability, and growth of the business after launch.
Key Responsibilities Store Leadership & Business Ownership- Own day-to-day store performance, including sales results, labor efficiency, inventory accuracy, and customer experience.
- Lead by example on the sales floor, reinforcing NOXX service standards and customer engagement expectations.
- Ensure consistent execution of policies, procedures, and brand standards.
- Analyze store performance trends and take corrective action when needed.
- Deliver a consistent, high-quality “out of this world” experience for every customer.
- Ensure teams are knowledgeable, compliant, and confident in product education and recommendations.
- Address customer feedback, concerns, and escalations professionally and effectively.
- Drive repeat business through service excellence and team coaching.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and store staff.
- Establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards.
- Conduct regular coaching conversations and performance check-ins.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee inventory management, receiving, accuracy, and adjustments in compliance with state regulations.
- Ensure all compliance requirements are met consistently and proactively.
- Maintain operational systems including POS, online ordering, and rewards platforms.
- Partner with Operations and Support teams to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
- Manage scheduling, payroll accuracy, and labor planning.
- Oversee ordering and use of store supplies and branded materials.
- Communicate operational needs, risks, and opportunities to leadership.
- Minimum 2+ years of retail management experience (cannabis retail preferred).
- Proven experience leading teams and holding others accountable.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to manage priorities and make data-informed decisions.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail operating systems.
- Minimum age: 21+ years
- Must pass all required background checks
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work 50–55 hours per week as needed
- College degree preferred;
High School diploma required - Paid time off
