Responsibilities

Forest View Hospital, located seven miles southeast of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a private 108-bed psychiatric facility that serves children, adolescents and adults. We are licensed by the State of Michigan, fully accredited by The Joint Commission and we bring more than 45 years of experience to the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health problems.

We are seeking qualified applicants for a Kitchen Manager position. The Kitchen Manager works in collaboration with the lead cook and other members of the team to ensure the day-to-day operations of the department meet the nutritional needs of the patients. The Kitchen Manager promotes teamwork, diversity in approach, and positive relationships with hospital personnel. The kitchen is part of a larger hospital system and values high standards of service.

Hours: Hours are day shift, Monday-Friday, with some weekend availability required as needed.

• Associates Degree in the Culinary Arts or a combination of applicable experience and education is required.
• Previous experience in scratch cooking and reading recipes.
• Minimum of two years of Food Service supervisory experience.
• Must be able to work weekends and respond to on-call needs.
• Effective written and oral communication skills required.
• Valid Michigan Driver’s license.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status or an approved medical or religious exemption.
