Due to our continued growth, Corium Innovations is seeking a R&D Associate Scientist who will execute routine testing and semi-independent research experiments under the direction of a scientist or senior scientist. - Perform analytical testing of R&D and commercial products.
- Execute routine laboratory experiments and semi‑independent research activities.
- Perform testing in support of transdermal development programs, including:
- In vitro skin flux (IVPT) studies
- In vitro drug release testing (IVRT)
- Assay, content uniformity, and stability testing
- Aid in investigations, deviations, and corrective actions as required.
- Present ideas and experimental results verbally and in written form.
- Learn new skills and techniques and understand the scientific theory behind them.
- Learn and follow cGMP/GLP principles and relevant ICH, USP, and FDA guidance documents.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of instruments, methods, and experiments.
- Independently design, execute, and report simple experiments.
- Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and analytical records in accordance with quality systems.
- Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in laboratory setting.
- Laboratory research skills gained through academic or professional experience.
- Working knowledge of chemistry and analytical instrumentation (e.g., HPLC/UHPLC).
- Basic understanding of FDA regulations, cGMP, GLP, ICH, and USP principles.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project timelines.
