Sr Supplier Qual Engineer - Exempt

As a key player in our Supplier Quality Engineering team, you will be instrumental in ensuring our suppliers deliver top-notch quality parts, materials, and services.

• Ensure suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services.
• Lead cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve supplier-related quality or compliance issues.
• Participate in corrective/preventive action teams for supplier-related issues, including nonconformances and CAPA activities.
• Coach team members on supplier quality principles, quality system requirements, and statistical analysis.
• Define component qualification strategy (PPAP) and work with suppliers to develop qualification plans.
• Qualify suppliers according to company standards and administer a Certified Supplier Program.
• Monitor parts throughout the manufacturing cycle and resolve supplier-related problems.
• Evaluate suppliers' internal functions to assess performance and provide feedback.
• Provide technical guidance and quality compliance for Supplier Quality engagement throughout the product’s lifecycle.
• Develop and deliver Product Acceptance Sampling Strategy and Control Plans for existing products.
• Define Receiving Inspection requirements and validate test methods.
• Lead in processing and approving supplier change requests.
• Manage projects and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve desired results.
• Support internal and external audits and inspections, including preparation and resolution of findings.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely completion of Supplier CAPA records.

• Strong Background in Quality Systems related to Supplier Controls
• Proven Excellence in Problem Solving - DMAIC, CAPA, or similar
• Experience in SAP, Agile, and Track Wise (Nice to Have)

Requires a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

This position is on-site in Grand Rapids, MI, working 40 hours per week. We are looking to schedule interviews as soon as possible. The role supports our Cardiac Surgery product line, specifically Cannula and Heart Positioners.
