Oversees the shift operations of the department for the afternoon and night shift; supervises employees directly and helps address barriers arising for assigned shift.
Minimum qualifications- Graduate of an accredited school respiratory care, Bachelors degree preferred.
- Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist in state of Michigan.
- Three years of respiratory experience.
- Supervises staff from an operations perspective.
- Manages day-to-day operations of a single clinical area, specialty or shift or oversees the operations of the department and assists in resolving problems.
- Develops appropriate core processes to ensure that systems function to support an exceptional patient experience.
- Functions as a change agent. Seeks to incorporate new technologies and methods to improve overall effectiveness.
- Exemplifies a strong, positive attitude during times of crisis or uncertainty.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates plans to continually improve patient/customer, associate, and physician satisfaction.
- Seeks opportunities to improve principles of staff engagement into everyday practice.
- Monitors department activities to ensure compliance with laws, government regulations, JCAHO requirements and Trinity Health policies. Takes appropriate action steps to immediately correct any safety issues or compliance issues.
