* Position Overview:

* With a shared vision Trinity Health Grand Rapids and Network 180 are standing up a Behavioral Health Crisis Center (BHCC), including a Crisis Stabilization Unit and a Behavioral Health Brief Intervention service to serve residents of Kent County. As an RN at our Behavioral Health Crisis Center, you will play a crucial role in the assessment, intervention, and care of individuals experiencing acute behavioral crises.

Your expertise will contribute to creating a safe and supportive environment for clients in need, as well as collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals.

* What you will do:

* + Conduct thorough assessments of clients' physical and mental health status upon admission.

+ Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other team members to develop personalized crisis intervention and stabilization plans.

+ Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by medical professionals.

+ Monitor clients' progress and respond effectively to changes in their condition.

+ Provide emotional support, psychoeducation, and coping strategies to clients and their families.

+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation and records.

* What you will need:

* + Graduation from an accredited Nursing school and program

+ Associates Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred.

+  
** In Grand Rapids if ADN must enroll in BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete in 4 years of hire*

** Minimum of*
* ** 1*
* ** year of nursing experience** , preferably in a mental health or crisis intervention setting.

+ Strong understanding of mental health conditions, crisis intervention techniques, and trauma-informed care.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick and informed decisions.

+ Empathetic and nonjudgmental approach to working with individuals in crisis.
