Our Adult IR team is staffed at four locations:
Butterworth Hospital, Blodgett Hospital, Lemmen Holton Cancer Pavilion, and Cascade.

We see over 25,000 patients a year and perform more than 250 procedure types, ranging from simple lines and drains to complex trauma, PE/DVT, and thrombectomies.

Butterworth is our Level 1 trauma and comprehensive stroke center where most emergent procedures are performed. RNs are responsible for sedating patients, monitoring overall status, assisting anesthesia, maintaining patient comfort during the procedure, and supporting the radiology technician and physician.

The RN, under the ANA scope of practice, uses the nursing process to provide professional care in line with Corewell Health policies and focuses on patient‑family centered care. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and discharge. The RN partners with the patient/family to set care goals, develops teaching strategies, documents education, and collaborates with the Nurse Leader and physician.

• Associate’s in Nursing required.
• Bachelor’s in Nursing required within 5 years.
• Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months.
• Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years.
