Registered Nurse

• Coordinates and organizes care for patients undergoing infertility treatment, ART procedures or fertility preservation.
• Provides and documents clinical care consistently, independently, and collaboratively with physician orders and departmental policies and procedures.
• Evaluates patients’/significant others’ psychological/educational/psychosocial needs and develops and implements appropriate strategies; provides comprehensive education including explanations of treatments, procedures, and test results and/or makes referrals as appropriate.
• Performs on-telephone assessment of patients’/significant others’ needs and subsequently intervenes.
• Communicates, collaborates, and consults with patients, physicians, staff, and significant others in a courteous and hospital manner regarding patient care.
• Assures compliance with JCAHO, OSHA, HIPAA, and other quality assurance standards.
• Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments by reading appropriate books, journals, and other literature. Attends educational programs and other related activities.

• Three to five years OB/GYN experience required; reproductive endocrinology/infertility experience highly preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines, high volumes, and multiple interruptions.
• Ability to make quality, independent decisions.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds to assist with transporting and lifting patients and equipment.
• CPR

• Registered Nurse, licensed in the state of Michigan

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Regular attendance is required Monday – Friday. Schedules include weekends as assigned by each department manager with alternating weekdays off. Schedules are subject to change due to department needs. Should there be a need to change hours or a schedule, supervisors will discuss the change in advance of making the change unless there is an urgent situation requiring the change.
