Black Girl Joy is a wellness organization and affirming community dedicated to centering the rest, joy, and wholeness of Black women. Through curated programs, products, and experiences, Black Girl Joy creates intentional spaces that encourage rest, self-connection, and joy without performance or pressure. Rooted in nature, sisterhood, healing, and culture, the organization offers rest and wellness experiences, outdoor adventures, spiritual support, and joy-focused events to nourish the mind, body, and spirit.
Additionally, they provide thoughtfully designed merchandise and resources to promote ease and affirmation in everyday life, reminding Black women they deserve care, community, and joy.
This role supports the financial health and sustainability of our organization. It is a good fit for someone steady, organized, and comfortable working with budgets and financial reporting.
The Treasurer helps track income and expenses, prepare monthly summaries, and support grant and restricted fund reporting. This role plays a key part in keeping our work accountable and transparent.
This is a volunteer role and requires consistency and care.

Qualifications- Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and preparation of tax filings
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Proficiency in financial software and tools such as Quick Books or similar applications
- Familiarity with nonprofit financial management is highly desirable
- Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Commitment to the organization’s mission and values, with a focus on community, wellness, and equity
