Digital Marketing, Marketing Strategy
At Bulb Digital, we help organizations stop wrestling with their tools and get back to doing meaningful work. We focus on Microsoft 365, helping teams use what they already have in a way that actually makes sense.
Our work helps people find what they need, understand how work gets done, and spend less time dealing with friction and confusion. The result is teams that feel more connected, more confident, and less frustrated by their day-to-day tools.
If that sounds like something you’d enjoy working on, read on.
The RoleWe’re looking for a
Marketing Director to take ownership of our marketing function end-to-end. This is a senior, hands‑on role for someone who is comfortable setting direction and executing—especially in an environment where the team is small today and will be built over time.
You won’t be starting from zero. We already have momentum: a growing email list, an engaged You Tube audience, and established content channels. This role is about taking the reins, bringing clarity and direction, and leveling up how all of that work connects and drives the business forward.
You’ll be responsible for shaping our marketing strategy, translating it into clear priorities, and ensuring consistent execution across channels. Early on, you’ll do a lot yourself. Over time, you’ll help us decide what to hire, what to outsource, and how to scale.
This role works closely with leadership on positioning, growth, and long‑term direction.
What You’ll Own- Define and evolve our overall marketing strategy in support of business goals
- Clarify positioning, messaging, and go‑to‑market approach
- Set priorities across channels and initiatives
- Translate ideas into clear plans, timelines, and outcomes
- Create and refine strategies to generate pipeline and revenue
- Oversee campaigns across email, content, social, video, and paid channels
- Own performance metrics and reporting (what’s working, what’s not, and why)
- Make recommendations on budget, spend, and ROI
- Play a key role in intellectual property development and content direction
- Partner with leadership to shape themes, narratives, and long‑term content strategy
- Ensure content across blog, podcast, You Tube, email, and courses is aligned and intentional
- Own the website as a marketing asset
- Use traffic and performance data to improve reach, clarity, and conversion
- Guide updates to content, structure, and messaging as offerings evolve
- Manage and coordinate contractors and vendors (design, video, paid ads, etc.)
- Identify gaps and recommend future hires as the function grows
- Build processes that allow marketing to scale sustainably
- This
is
a senior role with real ownership and influence - This
is not
a role where you inherit a large, established team - This
is
for someone who enjoys building systems from scratch - This
is not
a pure people‑management role (at least initially) - This
is
a mix of strategy, execution, and leadership
- 7+ years of experience in marketing roles with increasing responsibility
- Experience leading marketing strategy, not just executing tasks
- Comfort operating in a lean environment and making decisions with imperfect information
- Strong judgment around what matters vs. what doesn’t
- Ability to communicate clearly with leadership and translate vision into action
- Experience in B2B, professional services, SaaS, or consulting environments is a plus
- Salary range:$80,000–$110,000
, depending on experience and scope - Benefits, flexibility, and growth opportunity discussed during the process
