Job Description

The primary function of the Melt Tech is to assist wherever needed in the foundry, which could involve taking temperatures before a pour, sweeping, removing trash, refilling sand, and supporting molders in their work.

• Take temperatures during pours.
• Prepare molds and use a bobcat to transport sand to molding areas.
• Maintain proper housekeeping in and around work areas.
• Stock consumables for molding areas.
• Stay on task and achieve production goals each day.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to understand quality and safety standards.
• Capability to stand at a work station for prolonged periods.
• Proficiency in operating hilo, lift truck, bobcat, or hoist.
• Strength to push, pull, and lift up to 75 pounds.

• Experience in general labor and production roles.

This position operates in a non-temperature-controlled foundry environment. The role is scheduled for the first shift from 6 am to 1 pm, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
