Job Description
The primary function of the Melt Tech is to assist wherever needed in the foundry, which could involve taking temperatures before a pour, sweeping, removing trash, refilling sand, and supporting molders in their work.
Responsibilities- Take temperatures during pours.
- Prepare molds and use a bobcat to transport sand to molding areas.
- Maintain proper housekeeping in and around work areas.
- Stock consumables for molding areas.
- Stay on task and achieve production goals each day.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to understand quality and safety standards.
- Capability to stand at a work station for prolonged periods.
- Proficiency in operating hilo, lift truck, bobcat, or hoist.
- Strength to push, pull, and lift up to 75 pounds.

Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a non-temperature-controlled foundry environment. The role is scheduled for the first shift from 6 am to 1 pm, Monday through Friday.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
