Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: The slitter setup person sets up the slitting arbors and overarm and underarm separators for the slitters.
Essential Functions- Adheres to safety protocols outlined in the Plant Employee Manual for the protection of personnel and facility integrity.
- Maintains punctuality and adheres to attendance requirements as stipulated in the Attendance Policy within the Plant Employee Manual.
- Executes tasks as instructed by the Slitter Operator, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
- Prioritizes the acquisition of highest priority CHARTS(S) and setup requirements to facilitate seamless operations.
- Sets up slitting arbors with precision and attention to detail to ensure accurate cutting specifications.
- Configures underarm and overarm separators to facilitate smooth material flow during the slitting process.
- Demonstrates proficiency through proper training to execute tasks typically assigned to and performed by the operator.
- Other duties as assigned.
High school education or GED required. Team member must have the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Must be able to also meet the physical requirements of the job including the ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet on a concrete floor for the entire shift. Team member must also be able to effectively communicate with others and work well in a team environment.

- Position demands prolonged periods of standing, walking, and operating machinery.
- Operators must have precise hand-eye coordination to handle equipment and materials effectively.
- Ability to lift, carry, and manipulate heavy materials and equipment.
- Capacity to endure repetitive tasks and maintain focus for extended periods.
- Ability to hear warning signals and communicate effectively in a noisy environment.
- Clear vision is necessary to inspect materials and read gauges and instruments accurately.
- Problem-solving skills:
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during operations. - Operators must be capable of making quick decisions to optimize processes and minimize downtime.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing production demands and work effectively under pressure.
- Effective communication is essential for coordinating with team members and reporting any issues promptly.
- Maintain orderly work areas and adhere to production schedules.
