Material Handler

Essential Job Functions

Must have Hilo Experience
- Material handling background

Read, understand, and apply method sheets, in addition to following verbal (written and oral) directions.

Be knowledgeable, follow, and understand all applicable safety rules and procedures.

Operate power pneumatic and hand tools required for performing job duties.

Load and unload units onto conveyors and carts.

Read, learn, and follow OMSs for construction.

Supports the QMS by delivering quality products and services and meeting quality objectives.

Works to consistently meet and exceed customer requirements.

Continuously strives for and participates in operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Work in a team environment and assist co-workers in other areas as needed/directed.

Perform general housekeeping of the work area.

Suggest process improvement ideas.

All other duties as assigned by the supervisor/team leader.

One (1) year in Material Handling and forklift, and inventory experience

Knowledgeable of and able to utilize computer systems.

Has the knowledge and ability to apply basic math skills.

Commitment to performing quality work.

Willingness to learn all tasks required to perform the job.

Basic mechanical aptitude to use equipment and maintain general understanding of business processes.

Ability to work within a team.

Ability to perform work in a variety of environments (Examples: on scaffolding, mobile stairs, scissor lifts, in confined areas, etc).

Knowledge of and willingness to comply with all general work rules, policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and procedures.
